Hello again my lovely birds ! ♥

This might be a long text, but deal with it !

I don't buy much clothes. For mostly two reasons; I don't find clothes that I like (reason number one!) and I don't want to consume. My sister buys lots of clothes all the time and doesn't use them for long. I, on the other hand, use my clothes until they are full of holes and still continue using them.

I express myself through clothes. I felt horrible when I wore my most boring clothes to school due to "come as you are not"-day as well as when I switched clothes with my roommate who has a little boyish style... I just NEED my tights, beret, sweet accessories, skirts, shorts...! I feel so comfortable in my own clothes it's almost ridicilous. But that's how it should be, right? :D

Lately I've been more interested in what I wear. I want to look good, cute, girly, feminine, sweet, but then again my mind goes for a rollercoaster ride and sometimes I feel like wearing different kind of clothes. My style has been described as both good and bad, cute, feminine (well, at least some of the adjectives described above!), artistic, french-like and "hihhuliranskalainenaméliebanjobaskeriherrataiteilija" (=zealot-Frenchwoman-Amélie-banjo-beret-Mr.Artist (the name of my plush Maki ♥)). Oh, and I'm officially "she-who-doesn't-wear", meaning I often wear too little and then suffer from the cold winter here in Finland :'D But I do not like winter clothes! GRAA!

But anyway, a little about what I would like to buy.

1. I am obsessed with lace, frills and tulle. Yet I don't have too many clothes with those things. One thing I really want is a tulle skirt. Maybe not one like in the picture but something like it. Or one really poofy!!

2. I've been looking for thick, warm cardigan with buttons and a few days ago I found one from Cubus' online store. I just have to go to the local store tomorrow to see if this really is my dream come true-cardigan!!

3. I've been wanting to try the "thin tights, warm, long stockings"-look. I just have to find a pair of warm stockings (any colour will do, but maybe black, white or grey...) !! And I have to buy warmer tights too (I'm obsessed with tights !) Or then again, I could just buy trousers for the winter. High waist ones - please!

4. I NEED WINTER SHOES! Something brown, maybe with little heel, preferably warm! All I have now is my sister's old, now of course ruined, dirty, UGGs. (I hate UGGs! They're ugly but so warm... ; _ ; I'll save them for the time I go play winter games outside...)

5. A pussy bow tie blouse. For some reason I fell in love with these and I've tried them on. Some of them fit me and some don't at all so I'll just have to keep on looking for the perfect one C:

6. Something unusual for my wardrobe, a thick skirt. My dresses are mainly baby dolls and my skirts are kind of poofy and they start from my waist. So I'd like to try this kind of skirt for a change!! (But maybe not that color in the picture...)

...I have to buy new underwear. My underpants are the most horrible thing ever :----'''DDD (YOU WANTED TO HEAR THAT DIDN'T YOU. :C )

I also adore Riikka Aaltonen's style at the moment. Her style is so feminine and sweet! ♥

If you know cute shops/online stores suited for me and my style, please give me a hint ! ; )

Hi to you who shall not pass!

Sneak peek! I'm knitting a scarf for my boyfriend. My goal is to knit 10cm per day and so far everything's going smoothly~ I had a little trouble getting things started because last time I knit was in elementary school (I think.), and that's almost six years ago.

I finally managed to pull myself together and decorate my calendar! "Elontahti" means "The Rate of Life". I just wanted to be more... "creative" and use some nice words instead of just plain "calendar".



I painted the cover for Elontahti black and smudged my floor. So uhm, I started writing random words because I felt like it. Thank God I wiped it away pretty soon, otherwise it would've stuck there :'D (I didn't clean up my desk in time and now it has ink stains... And the desk is not mine =_=;;)

My boyfriend and his friends are amazing. The princess of Sweden, Victoria, and her husband Daniel visited Finland this week. My bf and his friends had composed a song about Daniel quite some time ago and they played it to the royals - twice. The second time made it to the publicity and a couple of internet magazines wrote little articles of them. Vickan and Daniel seemed to like them a lot :D

It's funny. At the same time I feel like I don't do anything or I don't have any projects but when I stop to think about it I have lots of stuff to do. I also have my two little autumn traditions... : D

This autumn

- I'll draw autumn the third (can't wait ! : D)

- I'll do my "Poetess' October 2011"- diary. (last year I did it only halfway, this year I'll try making it the best so far. (I've done this since 2009.)) Basically I write a poem each day about daily happenings for the whole October. This year I may want to illustrate it as well. I came up with this idea myself but later heard that other people have done this before. Oh well.

- I'll watch a whole anime series from the beginning to the end! I sit in front of the computer but rarely finish any series. This year I've managed to watch Kaiji and Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin. I have three episodes left of Ika Musume (season 1) and today I started watching Star Driver since my friends talked about it. Me & KiBi are also planning to watch Ginga Densetsu Weed together. I also need to watch Hanasaku Iroha!! I like it but I forgot to watch it every week so I'm faaar behind with the episodes.

- THIS WEEKEND! I'll spend it with my lovely pack of dogs ♥ Our musical group (well, some of it) will get together and watch lots of musicals ^^ (Moulin Rouge for example... Even though I don't care about it much.) Also, we have to talk about certain things ; D

Oh. So much to do. : D I have to finnish Watership Down as well... I still love the book even though I've only read half of it : D I ALSO HAVE TO DRAW MORE, RAAAAAR. (Instead of only complaining about it, I should just shut my computer and draw.)

Today I went to Silmiriemun putiikki with my sister. She was supposed to give a helping hand there but in the end, there weren't much to do...

Silmiriemun putiikki has lots of vintage clothes and lots and lots of funny and beautiful accessories. You can also make your own rings, earrings etc. There is lots to see so please pay a visit! (I use the word "lots" ... a lot :'D)

The friend of our mother gave me and my sister both beautiful rosaries : D The only condition was to help her in her future projects such as fashion shows for old clothes :) Last time we helped her was like 11 years ago as little childs :D

I made my first fishtail-braid today. It's a little messy after the day but so what... :'D I'm happy that it was such a simple thing to learn~

News about Preciousness! I'm making rings and earrings (gosh, I'm so gonna fail :D), doing prints for cloth bags and drawing little pictures for Desucon's artist alley. I'm sharing the table with Rewe (who will make cute yet odd plushies) and KiBi (who's making something awesome) and we might also have other products made by our Ginga Nagareboshi Gin musical group. Helloo from the Precious world of mine!

I'm thinking of starting a little business of my own... I want to design prints for shirts and do little accessories and stuff : D I have noooo idea if it is legal just to sell my own products or do I need some kind of permission or something but... I want to do it :3 Soon all of you can be Precious! (There's a difference of being precious and Precious... Of course you all are already precious ;D)

By the way, have you ever wondered why I named my blog "i am precious"? Because I like myself? Because I am arrogant? Because I just happened to figure it out? Nope. It's because everytime you speak of my blog, you have to say "i am precious", you have to say that you're precious. That's why. And if I launch my own collection of all nice little things such as shirts and accessories people can carry their preciousness everywhere through Preciousness.

I'm in a good mood since I feel creative but I should be studying so it brings me down a little. Tee hee!

Hi!

Today is my happy day. There are four things that have made me happy today.

1. I got 10 from art! It's the best grade one can get so I'm very happy : D It's veryvery rare for me to get 10 so... Chocolate ice cream for celebration! I also got a couple of sweet grades as well so last period was a gooood one : )

2. I found out that the store close to our school sells hot chocolate for 80 cents/cup! Oh God, I'm so gonna visit there more often...

3. Somebody was reading "Le Kalevala" in bus today. It was somehow funny. Made me smile.

4. Pokémon Black. I've been playing away!!

Today is also Women's Day... I couldn't care less, but because of it we had a very interesting panel of equality in our school. That led me to think (once again):

Who in this age really speaks badly of other people, people they don't even know?
C'mon! We're in high school already and still people behave like elementary schoolers. If you speak badly of someone stop to think for a while; has this person really done something to deserve all the criticism? Do you just simply follow the stream, "because everyone else think like this, I'll think like this too"? Why can't people dress funnily or behave differently? Just walking through the city makes me almost mad; I just hate to see lots of people who all look the same. Where is personality? Why do strong personalities get hated? Even though they are good persons? Some people don't dare to be themselves. Some people have the courage; they just lose it after being criticised so much. Even little things can take away a person's dream. And you have no right to do that.

Students want teachers to treat them equally. They want to be treaten equally, but why won't they treat equally?
I know that it's one of teacher's resposibilities to treat students equally, but let's forget about that for a moment. Student's don't treat teachers equally, they're actually worse when it comes to behaviour. Teachers are humans too, you know? Also, students have to treat fellow students equally too. Life is about give and take.

You, who just don't have the courage to show your true nature; do you really want to keep living like that?
You cannot please everyone and you only have one life. Do you really want to live hiding? Let yourself free. Show the world what you've got! Some people might not like you, your clothes, your behaviour, you opinions; but so what? They're not just right people for you to hang around with. Or maybe they just need to learn to be more tolerant. The world has many people and you'll be sure to find like-minded persons who will accept you just the way you are.



Now I'm off to play Pokémon in my panda-pants! And heck, I'm "almost adult" : D

today I failed & discovered

I found this while Stumbling. Love it ! ♥ Stumble Upon is a real treasure chest for me.


I wanted to eat meringue so I made meringue-strawberry muffins. They failed, as usual :'D My old classmate told me that only "abomination" could describe this culinary contumely : D

This picture is just so wannabe that it makes me smile :'D Had a lot of fun doing this. "Right now, unwilling to go & to die, live your own way" says the text on the background. I wrote it quickly and from scratch. I got the inspiration from here.

Needless to say, this picture was inspired by the SOAD song "Cigaro". And I know it's "we're" not "were". xP

And now close your eyes if you don't want to read my conceited text...

...I was once again pondering why am I not particularly good in a certain thing like singing or drawing etc.. Then I realized that, hey, I'm good looking. I don't mean I'm some Miss Universe but a decent one. That made me feel happy but also a bit disappointed. I'd like to be good at things I love. I've gotta keep practising! But maybe I'll never be satisfied, no matter how good I get. It's funny...

Hey all!

Today I feel like sharing things that inspire me with you. I have all this inspiration but I'm too lazy or poor to do anything. Or not just creative enough.

ITEMS

Old clocks. I love them so much. I have two clock-related accessories and I want more...
Pearls. Simple, timeless, beautiful.
Matryoshka dolls. Colorful, Russian dolls. There is something that attracts me to them...
Old cameras. Oh, how I love them! I want to have one. A working one to take pictures with. And I don't mean cameras from the 19th ceuntry but from the 50's or so.
Bows. Girly, cute and yet so simple.

FABRICS

Flower print. I own very little clothes with flower print on them, but I do want to have a shirt or a dress!
Lace. White, black, cute, sexy, lace is always beautiful.
Light colours. Such as natural white, pale pink, pale brown...

NATURE

Forget-me-nots. I just love the name! ♥

Roses. Romantic and dramatic at the same time. Love.
Bullfinches. I love their colouring. I'm doing a bullfinch-related work in our art class. I might post it here when it's ready.
Bare trees. They have an unique atmosphere.
Ravens. Ravens are so mysterious... And I just realized how much I love the word "raven". ♥
Butterflies. So tiny, light and colorful. Butterflies are awesome.

Lingonberries. It reminds me of Finland and its nature.

CLOTHES

Berets. I've lost two black berets and I'm trying to keep my 3rd one safe. Lovely, lovely berets, my favourite hats of all time. Wearing one gives you a classy feeling. They can also be decorated with brooches and stuff to look pretty. ♥
Granny boots. Just one of the many things I love from the 80's. (Andie's style in the film Pretty in Pink ♥)
High heels. I'm not a high heel freak but I do like them.

HUMAN-RELATED

Piercings. I do not like them all and wearing too many might be bad-looking, but I still can't help liking them...

Tattoos. I love the colourful ones as much as the plain, simple ones. I'm thinking of what kind of tattoo I would like to get someday.
Pin up. "A quilty pleasure." If I could say so. I like burlesque a little too.

SHOPS

Accessorize. If I could, I would buy all the accessories sold there.
Putiikki rannalla. A lifestyle-shop which sells lovely lovely clothes from brands like Odd Molly, Soaked in Luxury, Jackpot, rosemunde and Part Two, but they're all way too expensive.
