So much has been happening over the past few days... :'D

♥♥♥ FIRST OF ALL ♥♥♥

MY SCHOOL MADE IT!! TYK WON THE FIRST STAGE EVER!! These guys earned it!! I'm sooooo happy. It's good to be a TYKer!! (lol, I made a new English word...)

Anyway guys what's uuuuuup? Last weekend we were yet again working & eating hard on our GNG!musical practises. 8) I had a blast, thanks my dear friends ♥

We went & made sushi. I'm so happy that I managed to stick a grain of rice to my cheeeeek!

We also played with fridge magnets :'D The last one says: "Don't you go youngster, there's an insane girl between us, the autumn hesitates to wake up, secretly." I'M SO POETIC HAHAHA :D

Then our school had this outdoors event to celebrate the end of the schoolyear. We had a bubble party, can you imagine? :'D Also improvisation theatre and bands playing on the roof 8)

It's a poor picture but my friend got scars after running to a tightrope which was meant for -obviously- tightrope walking.

Today we had a picnic party which will be one of the last things our group can do together for a while, since lots of people are graduating...

AND YES I WENT & BOUGHT THE SPEEEEEEED OF DARKNEEEEEES BY FLOGGING MOLLY! ♥

I LOVE HOW IT STARTS! One of my absolute favourite song intros. (My fav is Streetlight Manifesto's We Will Fall Together ♥) Also, a pretty good song overall ^^

Revolution
I was kind of hoping that a song called "Revolution" would've had a lot of power but well, it sounds almost happy but has a serious message.

The Heart of the Sea
Well this song really takes you to the dark, misty sea... I kind of like this song because of it's atmosphere.

Don't Shut 'Em Down

The first single of this album, yupyup. Well... Kind of a nice song. ... .. :'D Different from the usual Molly style. I love the bass by the way.

The Power's Out
I love this song for the energy it unleashes towards the end but the rest is kind of blah. But the blah also needs to be listened so the nice ending has a meaning (: (Do not ask what I'm trying to explain... x'D)

So Sail On

An ordinary calm Flogging Molly song I'd say.

Saints & Sinners
I kind of like this song. Nothing more to say. But I kind of like it. xD

The Present State of Grace
A song that I don't care for much. :'D A bit boring perhaps...

The Cradle of Humankind
It's refreshing to hear piano in FM songs (: But I'm not much of a fan of slow songs... But this is a nice one and somehow reminds me of... of a song which name I can't remember.

Oliver Boy (All of Our Boys)
I have to say that this is one of my favourites from this album and not because of the Oliver in the name! (Oliver is my favourite name ever x3) This is the one that'll get stuck in your head.

A Prayer For Me in Silence
Every time I listen to this I just think "Awww Reagan and King singing together". x'D A calm, under-2-minutes song.

Rise Up
A nice ending for a nice album, but a little forgettable... : /

Overall I liked this album after first listening more than I liked Float after first listening. (Now I'd say that Float is my 2nd favourite of FM albums. I think Within a Mile of Home will always be my favourite one. :') ♥) It's a bit different from the safe, usual Molly style while not being different at all. It's funny. :D

So umm yeah~! What a long post. I'll give cookie to everyone who reads this completely!

Yep, went to Bakacon 2011 at Pieksämäki and had lots of fun ♥

Yep, went to see Stage live. Our school is in the semi-finals! ♥

Yep, went to my American friend's American Boxed Food Party. I can't believe they really eat this stuff... :'D I mean, it's all artificiaaaaal... SO FAKEEE XD This photo includes: Nutty Bars, raspberry (I...think?) Jell-O, Jell-O pudding, brownies, Moist Supreme cake & frosting, marshmallows, two different Kool Aids, blueberry muffins, Rice Crispies and Mac&Cheese. And we had also Tuna Helper. For example that blueberry muffin-package said "Imitation blueberries, artificial taste" oh God... And my friend claimed this all to be "pretty healthy" :D

Yep, went & baked muffins. REAL blueberry muffins. With white chocolate. And uhm... To be honest I've never made better ones so I'm pretty darn happy. (:

Too few people know about this lovely Finnish artist, Heli Kajo. I get chills from some of her songs and I don't get chills easily, I tell you! I like almost all of her songs. They have nice France-like atmosphere to them and the lyrics are so... honest that it's just too sweet. I like:

My day has just been made.

Flogging Molly is coming to Finland! And not to a summer festival, but a gig of their own. I'm O V E R J O Y E D. ♥ This will be the first time I see my absolute favourite band live. And all know that Flogging is at it's best on stage!! I CAN'T WAAAAIT !! ♥

Now I just need company!! Feel free to join me! The tickets are 39€ and the gig is 12th August in Kaapelitehdas, Helsinki. They will start selling the tickets on next Monday the 28th!!

AAA I can't wait!!! ♥♥

...too bad I can't go and see SOAD perform in Provinssirock.

Pretty in Pink is one of the few movies that make me shed a tear everytime I watch it. Duckie is just so... awesome. He's the hugest movie crush I've ever had. JUST LOOK AT HIM! ANDIE YOU'RE CRUEL!! THE DUCK MAN IS TOO GOOD FOR YOU!!!!
...Too bad I like Andie too. Hmm.

"It's electrifying!" After listening to this too much, I really want to see Grease. I haven't seen it yet... Young Travolta. ♥

inspiring spring

Hey all!

Today I feel like sharing things that inspire me with you. I have all this inspiration but I'm too lazy or poor to do anything. Or not just creative enough.

ITEMS

Old clocks. I love them so much. I have two clock-related accessories and I want more...
Pearls. Simple, timeless, beautiful.
Matryoshka dolls. Colorful, Russian dolls. There is something that attracts me to them...
Old cameras. Oh, how I love them! I want to have one. A working one to take pictures with. And I don't mean cameras from the 19th ceuntry but from the 50's or so.
Bows. Girly, cute and yet so simple.

FABRICS

Flower print. I own very little clothes with flower print on them, but I do want to have a shirt or a dress!
Lace. White, black, cute, sexy, lace is always beautiful.
Light colours. Such as natural white, pale pink, pale brown...

NATURE

Forget-me-nots. I just love the name! ♥

Roses. Romantic and dramatic at the same time. Love.
Bullfinches. I love their colouring. I'm doing a bullfinch-related work in our art class. I might post it here when it's ready.
Bare trees. They have an unique atmosphere.
Ravens. Ravens are so mysterious... And I just realized how much I love the word "raven". ♥
Butterflies. So tiny, light and colorful. Butterflies are awesome.

Lingonberries. It reminds me of Finland and its nature.

CLOTHES

Berets. I've lost two black berets and I'm trying to keep my 3rd one safe. Lovely, lovely berets, my favourite hats of all time. Wearing one gives you a classy feeling. They can also be decorated with brooches and stuff to look pretty. ♥
Granny boots. Just one of the many things I love from the 80's. (Andie's style in the film Pretty in Pink ♥)
High heels. I'm not a high heel freak but I do like them.

HUMAN-RELATED

Piercings. I do not like them all and wearing too many might be bad-looking, but I still can't help liking them...

Tattoos. I love the colourful ones as much as the plain, simple ones. I'm thinking of what kind of tattoo I would like to get someday.
Pin up. "A quilty pleasure." If I could say so. I like burlesque a little too.

SHOPS

Accessorize. If I could, I would buy all the accessories sold there.
Putiikki rannalla. A lifestyle-shop which sells lovely lovely clothes from brands like Odd Molly, Soaked in Luxury, Jackpot, rosemunde and Part Two, but they're all way too expensive.

My all-time-favourite band Flogging Molly finally released the cover art and the name of their upcoming album! ♥ It looks so different from the usual Molly style! And the new songs sound a bit different too. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album. I wonder when I can pre-order it...

I wish I could find a dedicated fan I could hype with. And talk of the old songs. Like exchange our opinions and stuff.

ps. ♥ I miss the warm nights of Summer. The time when you can walk on the streets without shoes and you can lie down on the pavement and smell the dust and the grass and you can just talk and talk and talk and talk and it will be bright all night...

Well, I have to admit that I haven't been listening to SOAD that much. I first listened to it a little at 6th grade and now in high school. I just recently listened through Mezmerize and I reallyreally liked it! SOAD sounds so funny! And Serj Tankian has a great voice!!

And about Vitamin String Quartet... I found VSQ on Spotify last summer. They do nice covers with strings ^^ I have a weakness for string instruments...

AAA my school ball is coming!! Can't wait... ♥
