smother

How do you do.

I baked cinnamon buns today! 40 total, but only 39 survived 'til the end. Today was such and grey and miserable day. I was feeling down and I thought that I could bake... Yeah.

Also, I went through some photos JiiBee took from our musical. It made me feel so much better.

Random dance after the actual show. We ♥ Kokoro no Kiba!
Father & son moment with crazy huskys : D
Partying in Hokkaido-style!

Well, that's about it for today.

Olen taas kattanut lautaset kahdelle huvikseen vaan,
vaikka tiedän, että kolmeen viikkoon et oo kotonakaan

life is musical

It's over.

Yet I don't feel like it's over. Our musical I mean. Our long-term project, Hopeanuoli!musikaali. (Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin!musical/Silver Fang!musical).

Last Friday everything was a complete mess. Our microphones didn't work, we had problems with lights and timing the music, the head of our Akakabuto kept on dropping, the cardboard bears were unfinished... To cut a long stroy short: we didn't have a decent, complete dress rehearsal.

So, on Saturday afternoon we tried the cardboard bear battle, we didn't have time to go through the whole musical. I sewed the head of Akakabuto with our Wilson and we didn't have time to test it on stage.

Then the workers let the audience in. I had checked before, there was quite a line behind those doors. After the show I heard that every seat was taken, the VIP balcony was full, people were even standing there and in the end of the rows, some even sat on the stairs even though it was forbidden and still, over 50 people (some say over hundred, some even more...) couldn't get in.

When it started I was nervous. Nervous if the audience would like the musical or not. But when they clapped hands after our opening choreography I knew we couldn't fail. So the musical went on and everything went almost perfect. After the ending, the audience clapped their hand for like six minutes straight and I was just... overwhelmed. The audience gave us so much strength I can't even describe it!

In the middle of the great battle against Akakabuto I saw Yoshihiro Takahashi in the front row. The creator of Ginga series. The world-famous Takahashi-sensei. After the show, he suprised us by visiting the backstage, telling us that he had cried and then he took many photos with us and shook our hands. It was such an honor.

Whole crew with Takahashi.

Many people asked why we only had one show and why we were in the small hall when there was a big one. We got loads of compliments and I haven't heard a single comment which was completely negative. And this was truly heartwarming: some little girls waited for an hour to get an autograph from our Gin.

During this time, from December to September, our group has overcame difficulties, made new friends and some even call us their "mental family". I started dating my very dear friend and I think all thanks go to this musical and Rewe. (I was always like "NOOOO I'm never gonna start dating him, we're good as friends" :D But things happened, hahaha! I'm glad.) But I bet we all are going to stick together, some more, some less, but still. Many things await us in the future and nobody can tear us apart, nobody can tear apart Hopeanuoli!musical! Auuuuu~

You can watch the whole musical on YouTube (Finnish only).

Avaan ikkunan
hengitän sisään maisemaa,
niin täydellistä, että pelottaa.
Pelkään että aika ajaa meidät erilleen.
Mitä sitten teen,
mitä sitten teen?
Eikä ajatella sitä kuka on kenenkin,
että meillä kaikilla on kotikin.
Toisilla on joku, joka siellä odottaa.
Nyt ei kukaan muista,
eikä tahdokaan.

Kiitos.

boil our blood

Hiyaa!

I have to tell you.. I have to tell you! I started reading Watership Down! ...since I've heard that the book actually is good. And so far it has been interesting. I just try to overcome my ultimate fear of the movie... :'D

The Flogging Molly gig was awesome! I had so much fun! All of the seven members brought us a brilliant, energetic gig... I'll probably share my thoughts later when I can upload my low-quality videos and photos :'D

And for the first time, I've been blog-tagged! :'D

"There are six things you have to tell. 3 negative and 3 positive, and be honest about them. In the end, tag six blogs and link the blog who tagged you.

Three negative things you have to tell.
1. Your least favourite cosplay and why. 2.Your worst experience at con. 3.Your worst con and why.

Three positive things you have to tell.
1. Your favourite cosplay and why. 2. Your best experience at con. 3. Your best con and why."

1. Your least favourite cosplay and why.

The photo tells it all:

2. Your worst experience at con.
I've never really had bad experiences. Sometimes being in con has been boring, sometimes I've had headache. Maybe the feeling after an all-nighter at Desucon :'D Or when I was playing with a toy gun at Nekocon 2008 and got scolded. Bwah.

3. Your worst con and why.
Well, I won't count Manga Day as con. Agh, this is a hard one. It's either Nekocon 2008 or Tsukicon 2008. Nekocon was boring boring boring and expensive, Tsukicon was way way WAY too crowded and full of wannabes. Sorry for being rude but it was like that back then. I don't know the current state since it's not that fashionable to like all this japanese stuff anymore.

1. Your favourite cosplay and why.
It has to be this:

I love Clannad, I love Kotomi and this one was done carefully. And my wig wasn't half-bad. I used this at Bakacon 2010 and I just have to use this again!

2. Your best experience at con.
I have way too many good experiences!! Like in the 2006 when I had so much fun with Rewe and the rest of the crew or in Bakacon 2009 where me and KiBi (we were getting to know each other then, heh.) competed in Iron Ganguro and spent a lot of time in Desuroom watching Mikan Seijin-Hour and laughed our asses off. Or in the following con, the first Desucon where we watched Kimagure Orange Road dubbed in Finnish... Or the night in Desucon 2011 where he asked me to be his girlfriend. And I bet our GNG!musical will be one of the best con experiences as well :D

3. Your best con and why.
I think I just have to say Desucon 2009. All the crazy randomness me and KiBi did... was just... I dunno. Unforgettable.

I have to tell you, I haven't been cosplaying since 2010. I have no money and no sewing machine for example :'D I'd like to cosplay more but hrmm. Maybe in the future!

I WON'T TAG ANYBODY MUAHAHAHA.
But here's the link to Viv's blog.

shit happens when you party naked
but we won't stop.

let life crystallize

We'll be broke but never broken,
let us laugh until we cry

HI.

The quote is taken from a lovely song called A Prayer For Me In Silence.

I know it's been a month since I last posted anything but my summer has been loaded full so I really haven't had the chance to just sit back and relax.

So... What has been hip and happening?

I had my first summer job.

I've been away from home every single weekend. Thanks to our lovely Hopeanuoli!musikaali (GNG!musical) practises + Desucon, Animecon & Ropecon. Actually, I was away for 10 days because first I went to Ropecon and then we had a whole week of practising. BY THE WAY the show is on September 3rd, 5PM at Tracon (in pieni sali, Tampere-talo, Tampere). I know I've wasted hundreds of euros on just one show but... But I think its worth it. The whole musical project has been a wonderful experience. Now we just want to have a huge audience, of course! ; D

I got myself a lovely boyfriend whom I actually miss right now. I wish I could just hug him ; - ;

I MOVED AWAY FROM HOME. This is going to be heck interesting... I share this apartment with my friend and... Yeah. It's going to be interesting. We have for example went for a night swim and there were a lot of bats hunting for insects. And we have a mannequin in the corridor who has chlamydia and we are growing a tomato named "Detective Over-Difficult" :'D

When we combine some of the letters of our names it makes "Pina", but we add an extra "i" to form "Piina", pain. So welcome to Piinan pesä, the Nest of Pain! I made this label and now it embellishes our front door :'D

School starts again on Wednesday, hmm.

FLOGGING MOLLY IN 4 FUCKING DAYS !! I CAN'T BELIEVE IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT~ My all-time favorite... And I'm finally gonna see them play live! I bet I'm going to enjoy it more than chocolate! And that's a lot!

Now I just want to create. I want to draw. Dream. Overcome the fear of failing. Just let my brush play with colors.

...I somehow missed the summer nights I love so much. It's the start of August, but the summer is slowly turning into autumn. Autumn is my favourite season. I always feel so inspired I almost can't take it. I can't wait to draw "Autumn the Third". (the first & the second)

I want to shout.
Spread my arms and welcome the autumn breeze like an old friend
returning from the sea.

The feeling of loneliness
is like breathing misty air
on an early morning.
